Black Mirror Season 7 drops all six episodes tomorrow!
After a two-year pause, Charlie Brooker’s beloved cult series returns with its first-ever sequential storyline.
It looks like Christmas is coming early this Thursday. Not only is Cannes announcing its full lineup for the upcoming 2025 edition, but Netflix is also dropping the long-awaited seventh season of Black Mirror. Fans of Charlie Brooker's dystopian anthology have been eagerly awaiting this moment, and based on the few reviews already posted online, the new season promises to deliver.
After a two-year hiatus, Black Mirror returns with six new episodes. Creator Charlie Brooker teased in a recent interview, “We’ve got six episodes this time, and two of them are basically feature-length. Some of them are deeply unpleasant, some are quite funny, and some are emotional.”
Notable Episodes and Continuations
One of the most anticipated episodes is a sequel to the acclaimed "USS Callister" from season 4. Titled USS Callister: Into Infinity, this episode marks the first time Black Mirror has revisited a previous story. Brooker explained, “Fans of the show will recognize the cast of a certain spaceship from one of our episodes reappearing. We’ve done a sequel for the first time in Black Mirror history.”
Season 7 features an impressive ensemble cast, including Issa Rae, Awkwafina, Paul Giamatti, Peter Capaldi, Emma Corrin, and Cristin Milioti. This diverse lineup adds depth and intrigue to the already compelling narratives.
Brooker has hinted that this season will return to the show's roots, focusing on science fiction stories that explore the complexities of technology and human nature. He noted, “It’s back to basics in many ways. They’re all sci-fi stories. There’s definitely some horrifying things that occur, but maybe not in an overt horror-movie way. There’s definitely some disturbing content in it.”
All six episodes of Black Mirror Season 7 will be available for streaming on Netflix starting Thursday, April 10, 2025.
